SAm Hale

The story’s protagonist, Samantha Hale can't seem to get out of her own way, but what is a girl with an Art History degree and a fondness for binge drinking to do when all she's ever been good at is smashing monster skulls? When her mother, one of the most powerful witches in the North East, stumbles upon the ancient Staff of Kings that Sam's father hid before he died, Sam finds herself on a globetrotting, dimension-jumping adventure in an attempt to keep the staff safe. From finding foreign help in the streets of Verona to welcoming assistance from one of the strongest Voodoo clans in history, the fate of Sam's journey rests in her ability to swallow her pride, make new friends, and fight off the teams of supernatural assassins hot on her trail.

The Triton

Ah yes. The Triton. Pesky creatures, really. No real sense of anything other than how fast they can gobble something down. Like piranhas, only worse because, if they need to, they can follow you just about anywhere so long as you’re a hundred yards or so from a body of water. Some like fresh water. Some like salt water. All are very much so interested in breeding and feeding. If you see one swimming towards you, it’s already too late.

Joey Spadafora

Having grown up down the street from Sam, Joey has been Sam’s partner in crime for as long as she can remember. However, where Joey has always had the composure of a thoughtful librarian who didn’t want any trouble, Sam’s strategies for dealing with people are more concerned with how quickly she can solve a problem with a stick of dynamite. Regardless, without Joey, Sam would have a lot less to show for the last few years.

Clara Hale

The mother of our protagonist, Clara Hale has always carried with her an air of frigid distance. A woman who appears both sure of herself and certain of everyone else’s failures, Sam can’t seem to get an understanding for what this woman actually wants or why she even bothered becoming a mother at all.

Hector Molina

The central antagonist of our tale, Hector Molina is the world’s oldest and most powerful warlock. Over the course of the story, readers can expect to learn more about this man’s mysterious past; however, by the end of Issue #1, it will be very clear that Hector most certainly has a few secrets of his own, and he will stop at nothing to keep them buried.

Sofia Bianchi

Sofia is one of the TWO new characters readers will be meeting in issue TWO of PROCTOR. Part vampire and part paladin, she is a special kind of fixer for special kinds of problems. If something supernatural goes amiss in northern Italy, there’s a great chance that The Order of the Serpent will be asking her to sort it out.

Irish Tom

A former Catholic monk who gave it all up to live what he considers to be a more “fulfilling” life, Irish Tom is Sofia Bianchi’s second half (and it’s not for the reason many think). He’s loud, obnoxious, and a sucker for a beer and a thrash-metal breakdown.
